Cold Lift
bergamot rind, mandarin leaf, a trace of pink pepper CO2
Nouvelle création — automne 2026
An amber composed around its own absence. Worn close to the skin, it reads as the memory of a room someone beautiful has just left.
01 — La Maison
Since 1899 the house has worked from the same stone atelier on the rue de l'Alambic in Grasse, where four generations of the Vasseur family have kept a single conviction — that a scent should behave like late light through a shutter: arriving slowly, then all at once.
Ambre Fantôme began in the winter of 2023, when Héloïse Vasseur — our nez since 2009 — asked the laboratory for an amber with the warmth removed. Three hundred and twelve trials later, the answer was not an amber at all but its afterimage: labdanum cooled with iris butter, a smoked tuberose standing where the resin should be, and a plum musk that behaves like dusk.

02 — Le Sillage Visible
The house studies Ambre Fantôme as moving light before it is poured into glass. The liquid film carries the fragrance's private weather: a warm center, a plum edge, and pale silk around the places where amber has vanished.
03 — La Pyramide Olfactive
A perfume unfolds in three tiers, each with its own hour. Touch a tier — its notes fan open and its essences swell in the vessel.
The first twenty minutes. Bergamot picked green in Calabria and chilled within hours of harvest, sharpened with pink pepper — a cold, bright doorway into a warm house.
04 — La Composition
Ambre Fantôme is composed to move with the day. Slide the hour and watch the accord rearrange itself — citrus at first light, plum by nightfall.
première lumière
Cold bergamot over white linen. The frost note is at its brightest, and the amber is only a rumour at the edge of the room.

bergamot rind, mandarin leaf, a trace of pink pepper CO2
buttered iris, rice powder, smoke washed until it turns sheer
labdanum fraction, warmed resin, ambergris accord without weight
sandalwood cream, prune musk, the last dry glow on skin
05 — Le Flacon
Blown by hand at the Verrerie de Biot, each flacon carries a millimetre of deliberate imperfection — no two shoulders curve alike. The stopper is turned from beech, lacquered nine times, and the number on the base is engraved by the same hand that seals the wax.
06 — Le Rituel
Warm the stopper between finger and thumb for a slow count of ten. One drop at the hollow of the throat, one at each wrist — nowhere else.
Do not rub. Friction bruises the frozen bergamot and wakes the base an hour early. Let the drop settle for one full minute, untouched.
The ghost takes twenty minutes to appear. Dress, leave, forget it entirely — the amber will remember you around midday.
07 — La Collection
Four eaux, numbered odd — the house has never explained why. Each is composed by Héloïse Vasseur and aged in the cellars beneath the atelier.
