Type is not furniture. A letterform carries mass, spring and intent — we drew ours to be dropped, stretched and thrown.
Kinetika was founded in 2019 in a former elevator-testing tower in Zürich-Altstetten, on one conviction: a specimen that holds still is lying to you. Screens move. Broadcast moves. Even print gets carried down the street. So every Kinetika family is engineered twice — once as contours, once as behaviour.
Each release ships motion tables next to its kerning tables: per-glyph mass coefficients, spring constants tuned on real easing curves, collision rules for when an H lands on an O. Our EULA covers velocity. Our foundry mark is an accelerometer reading. This page is the specimen — scroll fast and watch the letters take the strain.

GRAVITT
A poster grotesk with the centre of mass set deliberately too high. Gravitt wants to fall over — seven width styles from XX-Compressed to Extended, each tuned to topple at a different scroll velocity. Cut for headlines above 48 pt; below that it merely sulks.

Oszilla
A nine-weight workhorse with a resonant frequency of exactly 1.5 Hz — the tempo of a person walking past a poster. Oszilla’s weight axis was mastered as a standing wave: Hairline is the node, Ultra the antinode. The only Kinetika family permitted in body copy, on the condition it is never fully at rest.
